Most AI site builders generate something that works but looks generated. With Canvas I wanted the opposite trade: an AI with design sense that produces pages you would actually publish, backed by real Next.js code you can export and own instead of a locked-in page builder.

Turning open-ended prompts into working code is the easy half. The hard half is making the output consistently well-designed and deployable: proper architecture, TypeScript, Tailwind and sane security defaults, with a live preview loop fast enough that iterating by prompt feels like editing instead of waiting.

I built a generation pipeline that outputs full Next.js, React and Tailwind apps in TypeScript, holds them to opinionated design and architecture standards, renders every change in a real-time preview, and deploys to Vercel with custom domains, analytics and auto-scaling in one click.
