Every assistant I tried asked me to open one more app. I wanted the opposite: an agent that lives where I already reply to people, remembers an instruction after I give it once, and runs a whole workflow from a single confirmation instead of a dozen taps.

A messaging thread is a dangerous place for an agent to act. Macy touches mail, calendars and 500+ connected apps, so a misread text has real consequences. The hard part was making autonomous action safe on a surface with no buttons, no undo and nothing to work with but plain language.

Solution
Solution
I built standing orders so a single instruction keeps running, and multi-step tool chains over MCP so one confirmation executes an entire workflow across apps. Sensitive steps are approval-gated and wait on an explicit reply, and image, audio and video generation render inline in the thread.

Macy went from an idea to a working product with a 150+ pre-launch waitlist, connected across Gmail, WhatsApp, Calendar, Drive, Slack and 500+ apps. Every sensitive action it takes is recorded on a full audit trail.
